Configuring a Hostgator Domain E-mail inside a Gmail Account

Configuring a domain email in gmail is an interesting idea if you want to manage your business emails inside your very own google account.

The setup is simple enough using the gmail settings option, when you get ready to to add the custom email inside google; you will need the settings from your hosting or email account to be used over at gmail.

I personally configured my custom email for a customer using hostgator, same idea works with any other hosting company; follow along on how cool it’s to have your custom domain address in your gmail account.

The idea here is to open the setup your mail client from hostgator, and inside there you will find all the server settings to configure your custom email address inside gmail; you may do so to send or receive emails.

Once you have setup your custom domain address inside gmail, now you will be able to use your very own gmail account for both your gmail address and also your custom domain address; and when using your gmail app on your phone those emails will also be there as well.

I recommend you configure the emails as imap if gmail supports that option now, and if not do the pop3 at least; and do so for both mail as to send emails with that email address to receive email too so you can get emails coming to the inbox.
